DIY Dry Skin Mask (easy)

I love having dry skin, because it's MUCH easier to handle than oily or combination skin. There is less powders we have to buy, less blotting sheets, less 'deep cleansing' masks, and less problems with foundation changing colour. Though, I must admit, we do suffer from dry patches which might cling onto foundation, weird red bits, and most people who have dry skin, suffer from the sensitivity problem.

To help those with similarly the dry skin problems, here is a super easy 'everyday/every second day' mask that I use probably 80 percent of the time. No kid.

Ingredients:
Water (optional)
Moisturiser (thin, and water based) - I used QV ego Skin Lotion

Method:
-Put into your hand 2 to 3 times the amount of moisture you usually put on. The moisture should be a thinner formula.
-If the moisturiser is too thick, add drops of water, and stir with finger
-Apply onto face as usual mask, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Can tingle, or even have an interesting feeling on face.
-Rub the excess into your face after 5-10 minutes.

Result:
More plump and less flaky skin. Effects last for 18 hours.
Waiting for the time to pass....
Explanation:
You need to have a thin, water based moisturiser. To be honest, it doesn't even need to be thin, just water based. Water base moisturisers tend to leave the skin more 'smooth', and don't micro-exfoliate like oily based moisturisers could do.
This is generally because you can use oily and rub a dry patch. The dry path will naturally just exfoliate off, because you have more friction between your hand and the face. With water base moisturisers, the moisturiser tends to 'plump up' the dry patches, letting dry flakes not be visible, but easier to exfoliate after.
Generally, my moisturiser tingles when on the face as a mask, but doesn't when it's applied normally. This can be due to have a lot more of the chemicals being on the face, and your face not being use to it. Hence, the more moisturising chemicals, the better for you skin. (not the best logic, but it seemingly really works).

Expensive moisturisers SHOULD NOT be used. I'm warning those who spend 100+ dollars on moisturisers, and end up using it all under 5 days. Generally, expensive moisturisers are formulated for a intensive purpose. Such as reducing fine lines or other things. Using these more 'concentrated' formulas with this method can reduce the results. Hence, use something lightweight, cheaper and thinner. (QV ego is more BIGGEST recommendation. Can't live without it in my skin).

Conclusion:
I know. It's so simple. And it's almost self explanatory. But it works, and I really love it. So, give it a try. If you have any questions, or want a true DIY dry skin mask, then give me a comment :)
